Phase III: Permitting and Construction

Making your project a reality requires permits from the local bureaucracy. Then, the team at Zeus Design Build can start making sawdust fly and hammering nails into wood beams.

Securing permission for the project

Obtaining the necessary permission from local authorities is a crucial step in the process. The design team takes charge of any necessary permits and code compliance, and guides you through the process of gaining approval for new construction and additions to existing structures. We typically also handle the office visits on your behalf.

Preparing the site for construction

Site preparation involves clearing and leveling the ground that is to be built upon. When necessary, we come onto the premises with backhoes and other medium duty equipment to get the site ready.

Laying the foundation of the structure

Foundation work starts with forms for the concrete and proceeds with pouring and curing the cement.

Building out the framework

Framing involves building the load-bearing structural “bones” of the edifice that we build up from the foundation.

Wiring the building for electrical equipment

Zeus Design Build retains a licensed electrician with expertise in modern best practices for wiring buildings for the electrical loads your building is expected to support.

Topping out the building with a dependable roof

The roof of a structure takes the brunt of much of the elements from above, and we give roofing the attention it deserves accordingly. Besides weatherproofing, we give consideration to how the roof fits with the architectural style of your building.

Installing plumbing

Getting water flowing in and out of buildings is another area of expertise that Zeus Design Build has covered. Plumbing work starts and ends under the ground, and the network of pipes meanders its way through your structure to provide taps and drains in key locations such as the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. The taps in the garden also provide water to the landscape outside the edifice.

Making the most of your lighting

Illumination is not just a practical matter of being able to see inside a room, but also touches on the quality of light; where are the optimal places for lights to bring out the aesthetics of a space? what technology underlies the lighting and how much of a energy impact does it have? what is the color temperature suits the vibe of your interior and its furnishings? how can you leverage exterior lighting for maximum security?
